HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JUNE 13, 2017 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Arnold made a motion and Richardson seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, <br /> Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve <br /> Schuppan. Also present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Deputy County <br /> Treasurer Alaina Verplank and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES — Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> May 30, 2017 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER — DISCUSSES AND APPROVE EXEMPTION FOR GOOD <br /> SAMARITAN SOCIETY HEALTH AGENCY FOR A 2009 FORD <br /> 4. DISCUSS & APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR DIOCESE OF GRAND <br /> ISLAND, FOR A 2008 PONTIAC <br /> Deputy County Treasurer Alaina Verplank presented the exemption application for God <br /> Samaritan Society village Home Health Agency, 1043 South Locust Street, Grand <br /> Island for a 2009 Ford focus to be used by the home health nurse to drive to client's <br /> homes and provide in home nursing care, Deputy County Treasurer Alaina Verplank <br /> has approved this application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202. <br /> She also presented the exemption application for Diocese of Grand Island, 2708 Old <br /> Fair Road, Grand Island for a 2008 Pontiac 4/Door Sedan to be used solely for <br /> religious/charitable purposes. County treasurer Peg Pesek as approved this exemption <br /> application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202. They are asking for a motion from <br /> the County Board to approve these exemption applications. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the exemption applications <br /> for Good Samaritan Society Village Home Health Agency for the 2009 Ford and <br /> approve the application for the Diocese of Grand Island for a 2008 Pontiac 4 door <br /> sedan. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
