HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING FEBRUARY 7, 2017 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Arnold made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, <br /> Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve <br /> Schuppan. Also present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistant <br /> Stacey Ruzicka and County Treasurer Peg Pesek. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —the affidavit of public was received. <br /> MINUTES — Lanfear made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the minutes <br /> of the February 7, 2017 meeting. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> 4. COUNTY TREASURER — DISCUSS AND APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION <br /> FOR UNITED VETERANS CLUB HONOR GUARD, FOR A 2014 VAN - County <br /> Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the exemption application for United Veterans Club <br /> Honor Guard, 1914 W Capital Avenue, Grand Island, for a 2014 Ford van to be used to <br /> transport Honor Guard Members to perform military rites at funerals and other activities <br /> regarding Honor Guard members i.e. meeting hero flights <br /> THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS FOR A 2005 <br /> ENCLOSED TRAILER - This application is for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day <br /> Saints, 212 West 22nd Street, Grand Island, for a 2005 Cargo Mate enclosed trailer to <br /> be used to haul camping gear for BSA Troop 1 this is a chartered organization for the <br /> Boy Scouts of America within the Church of Jesus Christ. <br /> OVERLAND TRAILS COUNCIL BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA FOR 1989 FORD <br /> PICKUP AND A 2008 DODGE MINI-VAN —This is for Overland Trails Council Boy <br /> Scouts of America, 2808 O'Flannagan Street, Grand Island for a 1989 Ford pickup and <br /> a 2008 Dodge minivan to be used for camp operations. <br /> Ms. Pesek stated she has approved these exemption applications as per Nebraska <br /> State Statute 77-202 and is asking for a motion from the board to approve. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the exemption applications for <br /> the United Veterans Club for a 2014 Ford van, The Church of Jesus Christ for a 2005 <br /> cargo enclosed trailer and Overland Trails Council Boy Scout of America for a 1989 <br />
