HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING OCTOBER 18, 2016 <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Dan <br /> Purdy, Gary Quandt and Jane Richardson. Steve Schuppan was absent. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Affidavit on file. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to place on file the minutes of the <br /> October 4, 2016. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt and Richardson all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Schuppan was absent. Motion carried. <br /> 3. COUNTY TREASURER —A) DISCUSS &APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATIONS <br /> — County Treasurer Peg Pesek was present and received the following exemption <br /> applications. <br /> a) GRAND ISLAND CENTRAL CATHOLIC SCHOOLS, 1200 Ruby Avenue, Grand <br /> Island, for a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban. This vehicle will be used for transporting <br /> students to school activities. <br /> b) YWCA OF GRAND ISLAND, 211 East Fonner Park Road, Grand Island for a 2015 <br /> Ford sport van to be used to transport children from school to our after school program, <br /> transport preschool and school aged children for field trips, summer field trips and <br /> activities and pick up supplies for childcare and facility. <br /> c) GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEBRASKA, 1804 South Eddy, Grand <br /> Island, for a 2009 Chevrolet HHR to be used for picking up and taking home clients, <br /> also used for support of client activities and training. <br /> d) GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEBRASKA, 1804 South Eddy, Grand <br /> Island, for a 2008 Chrysler Sebring to be used for picking up and taking home clients <br /> and for support of client activities and training. <br /> She has approved these exemption applications as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 <br /> and is asking for a motion from the board to approve. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the exemption applications for <br /> Grand Island Central Catholic for a 2017 Chevrolet <br /> The YWCA of Grand Island for a 2015 Ford <br /> Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska for a 2009 Chevrolet <br /> Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska for a 2008 Chrysler <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Schuppan was absent. Motion carried. <br />
