HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JUNE 28, 2016 <br /> 9:10 A.M. Purdy made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Dan <br /> Purdy, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. <br /> CALL TO ORDER — Chairman Arnold called the Board of Equalization meeting to order. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION - Affidavit of publication of publication for the <br /> meeting on file. <br /> MINUTES — Purdy made a motion and Lancaster seconded to place on file the minutes <br /> of the June 14, 2016 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 3 COUNTY TREASURER —APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR SISTERS <br /> OF CHARITY OF LEAVENWORTH FOR A 2015 FORD FUSION <br /> 4 APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR SISTERS OF HUMILITY OF MARY <br /> FOR A 2015 TOYOTA— County Treasurer Peg Pesek was presented the exemption <br /> applications: <br /> Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, 2939 Pinnacle Pointe Drive, Grand Island, for a 2015 <br /> Ford fusion to be used by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth for a 2015 Ford fusion <br /> to be used to carry out their religious , educational and charitable work. <br /> Sisters of the Humility of Mary, 720 Stonewood Avenue, Grand Island for a 2015 Toyota <br /> to be used for Pastoral Ministry, visiting the sick and elderly, providing the consolation of <br /> the Eucharist to them in their homes, hospital, for conducting and participating in <br /> Liturgical Services, for religious education classes and for meeting the needs of persons <br /> requiring advocacy, food shelter, counseling and transportation. She has approved <br /> these exemption applications as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is asking for a <br /> motion from the County Board to approve them. <br /> Purdy made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application from <br /> Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth for the 2015 Ford and Sisters of the Humility of Mary <br /> for a 2015 Toyota. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
