HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MARCH 8, 2016 <br /> 9:10 a.m. Purdy made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Dan Purdy, <br /> Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. . <br /> Affidavit of publication of publication for the meeting on file <br /> CALL TO ORDER—Chairman Arnold called the Board of Equalization meeting to order. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting law. <br /> MINUTES — Purdy made a motion and Schuppan seconded to place on file the minutes of the <br /> February 23, 2016 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER EXEMPTION APPLICATIONS - County Treasurer Peg Pesek stated <br /> she received two exemption applications one for Goodwill Industries, 1804 South Eddy, Grand <br /> Island for a 2014 Dodge Caravan to be used for picking up and taking home clients and for <br /> support of client activities and training. <br /> She also received the exemption application for the Crisis Center, 2251 North Webb Road, <br /> Grand Island for a 2014 Dodge Fusion to be used to transport victims of domestic violence and <br /> sexual assault and it will be used in Hall County as well as outreach counties when needed for <br /> victim appointments and assistance and to transport Crisis Center staff for training, education <br /> and prevention presentations and meeting with other human service agencies. She has <br /> approved the exemption applicatons as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is asking the <br /> board to approve. <br /> Purdy made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the exemption application for <br /> Goodwill Industries for the 2014 Dodge and the exemption application for the Crisis Center for a <br /> 2015 Ford. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chairman Arnold called for new or unfinished business <br /> and no one responded. <br /> 9:21 a.m. adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> aria .
