HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING DECEMBER 29, 2015 9:05 a.m. Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of Equalization meeting. ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka and County Treasurer Peg Pesek. Daniel Purdy was absent attending a funeral. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Arnold read the notice of the open meeting law. MINUTES — Richardson made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the minutes of the December 15, 2015 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. Motion carried. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one responded. 1. DISCUSS AND APPROVE 2016 MOTOR VEHICLE TAX EXEMPTIONS — County Treasurer Peg Pesek was present with the 2016 motor vehicle tax exemptions there were 47 exemptions applications. She has approved these applications as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is asking the county board for a blanket approval of the renewals. Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the 2016 motor vehicle exemption applications. Mr. Quandt asked how it compared to last year and Ms. Pesek stated that there were 50 application for 265 vehicles last year and 47 applications this year with 260 vehicles so the numbers did go down. The vote on the motion was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. Motion carried. NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chairman Arnold called for new or unfinished business and no one responded. 9:12 a. m.
