HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING DECEMBER 29, 2015 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Douglas Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Also present <br /> were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka and County <br /> Treasurer Peg Pesek. Daniel Purdy was absent attending a funeral. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Arnold read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES — Richardson made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the <br /> minutes of the December 15, 2015 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 1. DISCUSS AND APPROVE 2016 MOTOR VEHICLE TAX EXEMPTIONS — County <br /> Treasurer Peg Pesek was present with the 2016 motor vehicle tax exemptions there <br /> were 47 exemptions applications. She has approved these applications as per <br /> Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is asking the county board for a blanket approval of <br /> the renewals. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the 2016 motor vehicle <br /> exemption applications. <br /> Mr. Quandt asked how it compared to last year and Ms. Pesek stated that there were 50 <br /> application for 265 vehicles last year and 47 applications this year with 260 vehicles so <br /> the numbers did go down. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. Motion carried. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chairman Arnold called for new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> 9:12 a. m.
