I believe this parcel was incorrectly valued. This parcel ('7717) consists of 113.7 <br /> ac. of which 72 ac per FSA) are cropland, partially irrigated. The balance (41.7 ac.) <br /> is non-productive (cedars, locusts, creek bottom) not readily converted into <br /> production of any kind including grazing. <br /> In addition, according to the FSA, ALL of the cropland in '7717 is listed as Highly <br /> Erodible Land (HEL) <br /> The contiguous and adjoining parcel 400494927 ('4927) consists of 33.3 acres <br /> almost all in crops, again partially irrigated. It is Non-HEL. The new value for '15 is <br /> $126,648 or $3803/ac. <br /> The proposed value of parcel '7717 is $375,610 and when divided by the crop <br /> acres equals $5216/ac.! far in excess of the adjoining parcel. I believe when the <br /> assessor revalued the land after NRD update all the land in '7717 was valued as <br /> irrigated or partially irrigated. <br /> I am requesting the 72 acres of cropland in '7717 be valued the same as '4927 or <br /> $3803/ac or $ 273,816 and the remaining 41.7 ac valued at $500/ac or $20,850 <br /> for a total of $294.666.
