COUNTY ASSESSOR - EXECUTIVE SESSION DISCUSS AND APPROVE <br /> POTENTIAL SETTLEMENTS FOR TERC CASES — County Assessor Jan Pelland <br /> requested an executive session for the TERC cases. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Ziola seconded to go into executive session regarding the <br /> TERC cases. This executive session is to protect the public interest. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, McFarland, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Purdy was absent. Motion carried. <br /> 9:10 a.m. executive session <br /> 9:24 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Chairman McFarland stated that no other subjects were discussed no votes were taken <br /> and no action was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. Motion carried. <br /> County Assessor Jan Pelland requested to authorize County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf <br /> and her to offer settlement to Overhead Door for the 2012 and 2013. TERC cases for <br /> the two parcels with a total value of$4,598,079.00 and they agreed on $3,882.040.00 <br /> and that is a decrease of $716,039.00 and they will honor this for the 2014 protests. <br /> The new construction was valued at $4,670,655.00 and will now be $3,932, 281.00 that <br /> is a decrease of $738,374.00. She is asking for the County Board to approve this <br /> settlement agreement. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the settlement agreement <br /> for Overhead Door. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. Motion carried. <br /> County Assessor Jan Pelland requested to authorize County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf <br /> and her to offer settlement for Country Club Holding Association. This is for the land <br /> portion of the parcels. They were valued at $7,500.00 an acre and they negotiated with <br /> the attorney and came to an agreement for $5,025.00 per acre. The value was <br /> $1,122,675.00 and not is at $752,192.00 a decrease of $37,483.00 this is for tax year <br /> 2013. They did not file an appeal for 2014 but it will stay the same and they will honor <br /> the settlement for 2014. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the settlement agreement <br /> for County Club Holdings. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster stated that she appreciates the professional guidance of Mr. Zitterkopf and <br /> Jan Pelland by negotiating the settlement outside of TERC it saves time and dollars. <br />
