HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MAY 20, 2014 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Ziola made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Bob McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also <br /> present were Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka, <br /> and County Treasurer Peg Pesek. <br /> Chairman McFarland called the meeting to order. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman McFarland read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES —Ziola made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the minutes of <br /> the May 6, 2014 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman McFarland called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER — DISCUSS AND APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION <br /> FOR SERVANTS OF MARY FOR A 2005 FORD FOCUS — County Treasurer Peg <br /> Pesek presented the exemption application for Servants of Mary, 822 Stonewood <br /> Avenue, Grand Island for a 2005 Ford Focus to be used for the religious ministry and <br /> related activities. She approved the exemption as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 <br /> and is requesting that the County Board approve it. Discussion was held on the <br /> address listed on the application and Ms. Lancaster stated that it is common to use a <br /> home address instead of a rectory like they used in the past. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the exemption <br /> application for Servants of Mary for the 2005 Ford. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, <br /> Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Chairman McFarland called for new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> 9:15 a.m. The Board of Equalization adjourned back to the regular meeting. <br /> r� LLe lrrr0 <br /> Marla J. ounty Cler 'G�rrii <br />
