HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING FEBRUARY 11, 2014 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, Bob <br /> McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also present were <br /> Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka and Deputy County <br /> Treasurer Alain Verplank. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman McFarland read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> MINUTES—Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to approve the minutes of the January <br /> 28th meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman McFarland called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER—APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR MOSAIC FOR 2014 <br /> TOYOTA SIENNA- Deputy County Treasurer Alaina Verplank presented the following <br /> exemption applications. Mosaic, 2846 Old Fair Road, Grand Island for a 2014 Toyota Sienna <br /> to be used for transportation of disabled individuals. She has approved this application as per <br /> Nebraska State Statute 77-202. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER -APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR GREAT PLAINS <br /> ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE UNITED METHODIST FOR A 2009 HONDA—Great Plains <br /> Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, 2418 North Webb Road Grand Island for a <br /> 2009 Honda to be used to travel to and from meetings in the district as well as hospital and <br /> home visits. This was a name change from the exemption that was approved on January 14, <br /> 2014. She has approved this application as per Nebraska State Statute 77-202 and is <br /> requesting that the County Board approve these exemption applications. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application for Mosaic <br /> and for Great Plains Annual Conference of the United Methodist. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, <br /> Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS —Chairman McFarland called for new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 9:12 a.m. and board returned to the regular meeting. <br /> MerckadeptMarla J.
