HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MAY 21, 2013 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Schuppan seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE – Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Bob McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also <br /> present were Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Deputy County Treasurer <br /> Alaina Verplank. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW – Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES –Ziola made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> May 7, 2013 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER –APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR HALL <br /> COUNTY % SENIOR CITIZENS FOR A 2013 FORD BUS Deputy County Treasurer <br /> Alaina Verplank presented the exemption application from Hall County % Senior <br /> Citizens Industries Inc., 304 East Third Street, Grand Island, for a 2013 Ford bus to be <br /> used to provide public transportation of the elderly, handicapped and general public <br /> within Hall County. County Treasurer Peg Pesek approved this application as per <br /> Nebraska State Statue 77-202 and is requesting the board's approval. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the exemption application for <br /> Senior Citizens Industries. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan <br /> and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> TAX CORRECTION NOTICES– County Assessor Jan Pelland presented tax correction <br /> notices #4626 to#4646 requesting the board to accept and the Chair to initial. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Schuppan seconded to authorize the Chair to initial tax <br /> correction notices # 4626 to #4646. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS – Chairman Lancaster called for new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> Adjourned back tot - regular meeting at 9:20 a.m. ....r.... <br /> -4 'L iifr te <br /> arl.
