RESOLUTION#13- U (9 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPOINTING REFEREES <br /> FOR THE 2013 TAX ASSESSMENT YEAR <br /> WHEREAS,NEB.REV. STAT.§ 77-1502 (Cum. Supp. 2012) requires that the Hall County <br /> Board of Equalization shall hold a session of not less than three days, for the purpose of <br /> reviewing and deciding protests filed pursuant to NEB. REV. STAT. §§ 77-1502 to 77-1507; and <br /> WHEREAS,NEB. REV. STAT.§ 77-1502 (Cum. Supp. 2012) authorizes the Board of <br /> Equalization to appoint one or more suitable persons to act as referees to hear protests in the first <br /> instance and to transmit to the County Board of Equalization all papers relating to such protests, <br /> together with written findings and recommendations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County, to accommodate the volume of protests and to afford each <br /> taxpayer ample opportunity for a meaningful hearing before a qualified individual, has <br /> determined that it should appoint referees to hear the protests filed for the 2013 assessment year; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to ensure that all protests are processed expeditiously, treated fairly <br /> and consistently, and decided in compliance with the provisions of state law, the County has <br /> determined that it should seek a qualified firm or individual to supervise and coordinate all <br /> activities of the referees and to provide referees to be appointed by the County to hear the <br /> protests filed for the 2013 assessment year; and <br /> WHEREAS, Stanard Appraisal Services, Inc.,employs qualified individuals and is <br /> willing to contract with the County to provide the necessary supervision and coordination of the <br /> referee activities and the necessary referees for the 2013 assessment year. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following individuals are hereby <br /> appointed to act as referees for protests filed with the Hall County Board of Equalization for the <br /> 2013 assessment year pursuant to the agreement approved this date by and between the County of <br /> Hall and Stanard Appraisal Services, Inc., to wit: <br /> Darrel Stanard, Licensed Appraiser <br /> Mark Stanard, Licensed Appraiser <br /> Luis Graterol, Registered Appraiser <br /> Josh Garris, Registered Appraiser <br />
