HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING MARCH 12, 2013 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Bob McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also <br /> present were Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, County Assessor Jan Pelland <br /> County Treasurer Peg Pesek and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> meeting law. <br /> MINUTES —Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the minutes of the <br /> February 26, 2013 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan <br /> and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no <br /> one responded. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR NEBRASKA <br /> STATE FAIR BOARD FOR THREE VEHICLES — County Treasurer Peg Pesek <br /> presented the exemption application for the Nebraska State Fair Board, P.O. Box 1387, <br /> Grand Island, This application is for a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, a 2003 Chevrolet <br /> Silverado truck and a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse to be used by the Nebraska State Board <br /> of Agriculture and the staff for company use. They are a 501(c) 5 corporation. She <br /> recommended approval per Nebraska State Statute 77-202. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the exemption application for <br /> the Nebraska State Fair Board. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> She also presented the following exemption application: <br /> Abundant Life Christian Center 3411 West Faidley Avenue, Grand Island, for a 1990 <br /> Chevrolet Suburban to be used to transport students to and from church activities. <br /> Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, 1804 South Eddy, Grand Island, for a 2012 <br /> Ford Cutaway van to be used for picking up and taking home clients and or support of <br /> clients activities and training. She recommended approval of the 2 exemption <br /> applications and is requesting the county board to approve. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the exemption application <br /> for Abundant Life Christian Center and Goodwill Industries. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br />
