Thank you!
From: Loren Humphrey
Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2018 3:32 PM
To: Bonnie Kosmicki
Subject: Facilities update
Facilities update;
• ADA modifications to District Courtroom #2 were completed on Friday November 30th (see Picture attached).
The opening is now 4' wide to accommodate wheel chairs.
• Finalized plans for carpet installation for the DHHS building. This will take place beginning Monday Dec. 10 with
the removal of furniture in the afternoon so carpet installers can begin installation Tuesday Dec. 11 around 8
a.m.
• New ADA door levers are being installed this week at the DHHS.All work in this building is being coordinated
through Cynthia Harris, (Administrator DHHS Operations and Material) Cynthia is shutting down the building to
clients the entire week to accommodate carpet and counter modifications.
• We discovered a small roof leak at the Federal Building, which might be from the rain we had earlier,we are not
noticing any water from melting snow at this time.We are monitoring it daily.
• Another issue at the Federal Building(see picture roof ledge) is a 2 foot ledge around the building just below
the roof line. This ledge catches snow and as the snow melts the water drops down on the front steps as well as
the ramp on the east side of the building. The water then freezes and cause a potential slip/trip hazard, also
water can drop on people entering and exiting the building. We are able to put ice melt product down to melt
the ice so were able to manage the situation until we can find a more permanent solution to the problem the
National Park Service will approve.
Loren J.
