The original grant total was $205,464. The original amount refunded to Hall County for personnel costs was $ 91,125. These personnel funds covered the total costs of one Diversion Officer and partial costs for the Diversion Office Manager. I submitted a Subgrant Adjustment request for $4,854 that was approved for the additional cost of the two employees, mostly due to the increase in insurance costs. Once the Subgrant Adjustment was approved the total Personnel line item increased from $91,125 to $95,979. The additional amount to the Personnel line item came from un-spent funds within the Consultant/Contract line item of the grant. Additionally, Hall County paid 2 claims for alternative to detention costs totaling $1,324.44 (claim # 2-4445) once the original grant amount for detention to alternative costs was spent. The Subgrant request included $1,324.44 to reimburse Hall County for that amount. These funds were also taken from un-spent funds within the Consultant/Contract line item but since the adjustment was within the same line item, there was no additional change in the total line item amount. At the end of the grant period, 06/30/2018, there was a remaining balance in the amount of $3,692.04. Therefore, Hall County de-obligated/refunded $3,692.04 to the Nebraska Crime Commission.
