Marla Conley b <br /> From: Loren Humphrey <br /> Sent: Friday, October 26, 2018 10:54 AM <br /> To: Bonnie Kosmicki; Marla Conley <br /> Subject: Facility updage <br /> Board, <br /> Since I will not be present at the October 30th Board meeting this email will serve as an update. <br /> Veterans Park: Wednesday October 24th the Park staff along with the Downtown staff planted and mulched 21 trees <br /> which completes <br /> This project.The addition to the sprinkler system has been completed and we have received the bill. <br /> Courthouse: The Courthouse step renovation and washing started on Tuesday October 23rd.The contractor is <br /> working around the court schedule to not cause a distraction for the courts.The roofing mastic that was <br /> used on the steps is a petroleum base product and has soaked deep into the limestone walls making it <br /> impossible to completely remove. The contractors have remove as much as possible but it will still be <br /> visible on the limestone walls.The contractor hopes to complete the project in 3 to 4 weeks. <br /> Parking Lot: The south half of the parking lot was poured Saturday October 20th. During this past week new sidewalks <br /> have been poured to finish this area before starting on the North half. <br /> During the pouring on Saturday the parking lot light wire was broken by the contractor.There will be <br /> no cost to repair the wire as is. Supervisor Quandt has asked Steve and myself to look at running the <br /> wire underground. An estimate provided by Middleton Electric to install an underground wire to the <br /> pole is$1643.00 <br /> Federal Building: I asked Midcontinent Restoration to look at the Federal Building front steps and ramp.According to <br /> them, the front steps are a pre-cast product and not limestone as previously thought and can be <br /> repaired. I asked them to get a firm number on the cost for them to perform the work that needs to be <br /> done. <br /> The park was closed for camping season Sunday October 14th.The employees at the park have been cleaning and <br /> painting the restrooms <br /> Mulching leaves between rains and cleaning up flower beds. <br /> Downtown campus crew has responded to numerous work request, repairing exterior lighting on the Annex, Federal <br /> Building and County <br /> Attorney Building. <br /> Have a good week! <br /> Loren J.
