. . w <br /> ADA ASSESSMENT <br /> SOCIAL SERVICES BUILDING <br /> 116 SOUTH PINE STREET <br /> This assessment is to represent estimated cost in an attempt to make ADA improvements to <br /> the building occupied by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) <br /> located at 116 South Pine Street. The information of what improvements are needed is from <br /> the ADA Evaluation & Life Safety Compliance Report submitted by Master Builders Associates <br /> dated August 28, 2018. <br /> PRIORITY 1 -APPROACH AND ENTRANCE <br /> The front entrance to the building is not ADA compliant. According to the report none of the <br /> three entrances meet the requirements for ADA. <br /> Ramp: Install a ramp to the main entrance which would accommodate ADA accessibility. Also <br /> design it so that the South entrance can access the ramp which will allow two entrances to be <br /> accessible as well as satisfy the Life Safety issue to have two egress that are accessible. <br /> Parking: Create and mark two on street parking stalls designated as ADA accessible parking. <br /> Perform a curb cut and lower existing sidewalk to provide accessibility to the ramp and front <br /> entrance. <br /> Entrance: A push button ADA door operator needs to be installed on the main entrance and <br /> the south entrance will need push buttons added <br /> Cost for ramp & sidewalk installation $36,000.00 <br /> Cost for ADA door closures $3,300.00 <br /> Fire Extinguisher Cabinet $ 200.00 <br /> Priority 1 total $39,500.00 <br />
