in COPY <br /> Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program <br /> Application #2018-H3812-NE-DJ <br /> CFDA Number: 16.738 , 1 <br /> THE STATE OF NEBRASKA <br /> \ V <br /> COUNTY OF HALL 111 <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA <br /> AND COUNTY OF HALL, NEBRASKA <br /> 2018 BYRNE JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM AWARD <br /> This agreement is made and entered into this 14th day of August, 2018, by and between <br /> The County of Hall, acting by and through its governing body, The Hall County Board of <br /> Supervisors, hereinafter referred to as COUNTY, and the CITY of Grand Island, acting <br /> by and through its governing body, the City Council, hereinafter referred to as CITY, <br /> both of Hall County, State of Nebraska, witnesseth: <br /> WHEREAS, the City and County may apply for a direct award from the Justice <br /> Assistance Grant Program in the amount of$20,709.00 and the City shall act as fiscal <br /> agent for this award and file the joint application on behalf of the City and County: and <br /> WHEREAS, each governing body, in performing governmental functions or in paying <br /> the performance of governmental functions hereunder, shall make that performance or <br /> those payments from current revenues legally available to that party: and <br /> WHEREAS, each governing body finds that the performance of this agreement is in the <br /> best interests of both parties, that the undertaking will benefit the public, and that the <br /> division of costs fairly compensates the performing party for the services or function <br /> under this agreement: and <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY agrees to provide the COUNTY 25% of the award, $5178.00 <br /> from the $20,709.00 JAG award: and <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY and COUNTY believe it to be in their best interests to reallocate <br /> the JAG funds. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the COUNTY and CITY agree as follows: <br />
