Background Sale of County surplus personal property is handled as follows: 1. Mobile Equipment must be declared as surplus, obsolete, and not useable by the board before it can be sold. 2. Culverts, road maintainer blades, and bridge materials can be deemed surplus, obsolete, and not useable by the Hall County Public Works Director and sold as long as each item is valued at less than $500. 3. Personal Property (other than specifically listed in # 2 listed) must be declared as surplus, obsolete, and not useable by the board before it can be sold. Discussion The Public Works Department, Assessor's Office, and Building and Grounds Department have the attached list of personal property and mobile equipment that they would like the board to declare as surplus, obsolete and not useable by the county so the items can be sold at the Grand Island Machinery & Auction on October 13, 2018 and at the Big Iron Auction. The funds from the sale of Road Department items will be deposited into the Road Fund. The funds from the sale of the Assessor's and the Building & Grounds items will be deposited into the General Fund Recommendation Discuss and declare the attached list of personal property and mobile equipment as surplus, obsolete and not useable by the county Liff?,oe.41 1‘-.)/Zh_ Steven P.
