HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING OCTOBER 17, 2017 The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened October 17, 2017 by published call in the County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. CALL TO ORDER -The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pamela Lancaster. INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Rev. Gene Arnold. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Gary Quandt, and Stephen Schuppan. Also present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. Karen Bredthauer and Jane Richardson were absent they sent notice to Chairman Lancaster. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chairman Lancaster read the notice of open meeting law. REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME - Chairman Lancaster called for anyone who wanted to reserve time on a specific agenda item and no one responded. VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION -The affidavit of publication was received. CONSENT AGENDA— Lanfear made a motion and it was seconded by Arnold to approve the following by consent agenda. 1. Placed on file the minutes of the October 3, 2017 meeting 2. 7a the original copies of the snow removal contract were not received so it was pulled from the agenda and will be addressed in 2 weeks 3. 7b Awarded the bid for C40(378) bid section A to Husker Steel for $30,850.00 4. 7c) Awarded Sections B & C for $26,702.09 to Midwest Service & Sales 5. 7d Awarded bridge material for C40(393) bid section A for $81,567.59 to Midwest Service & Sales 6. 7e) Awarded the bridge material for bid section B & C for$37,604.06 to Midwest Service & Sales 7. 7f Set the bid opening for October 30,2017 at 10:00 a.m. for bridge materials piling & splice plate for C40(378) and C40(393) 8. 8 Placed on file the quarterly report from the Grand Island Public Library 9. 10 Placed on file the report from the County Treasure on distress warrants 10. 11 Authorized the chair to sign the computation of indirect costs 11. 11 b Authorized the chair to sign the computation of direct costs 12. 12 Placed on file the final tax rates 13. 13 approved the final plat and Resolution #17-056 For Johnson's Valhalla Subdivision 14. LB Placed on file communications from regional planning 15. 15 Placed on file the office reports from the Building Inspector, County Sheriff, for month of August, County Assessor/Register of Deeds, Hall & Howard County Juvenile Services & County Attorney statistical report. 16. 16 Placed on file the County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts 17. 17 No communications The bi weekly pay claims and regular claims were pulled from consent agenda and corrected the final plat to Johnson's Valhalla. 1
