4. 9:30 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 1 & 6 ROAD PROGRAM - Quandt made a motion <br /> and Arnold seconded to open the public hearing for the 1 & 6 Road Program. Arnold, <br /> Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> County surveyor Casey Sherlock had a power point presentation for the 1 & 6 he reviewed the <br /> following. <br /> Project C40(340)This is to replace a bridge built in 1970 and to replace a timber bridge with <br /> culverts <br /> Project C40(373) Replacing a bridge with concrete box culvert for the Central Platte NRD <br /> drainage project this project had been delayed <br /> Project C40(378) Replacing a steel girder bridge with concrete precast panel bridge <br /> Project C40(393) Replacing a steel girder bridge built in 1932 with concrete precast panel <br /> bridge they will prepare the site and a contractor will build the bridge <br /> Project C40(432) This is a box culvert on Rosedale Road they will add 10 feet to make it wider <br /> to accommodate farm equipment <br /> Project C40(441) Replacing a 1928 wood bridge with culverts <br /> Project C40(449) Roadway grading on Monitor Road <br /> Project C40(450) Roadway grading on Loup River Road <br /> Project C40(457) This is a project to raise the county road grade approaching the Union Pacific <br /> Railroad Tracks to improve sight distance & crossing safety <br /> Casey also reviewed the 6 year road program projects that are projected for the future. <br /> Quandt questioned how many of the bridges are to narrow. Casey stated the fracture critical <br /> and the truss bridges are the concerns and there are about 8 left. They are making progress. <br /> He stated that there is $683,000.00 budgeted for these projects. Last year it was $1.4 million <br /> but that included the asphalt projects and then with the capital improvements is was at $1.7 <br /> million. <br /> Richardson thanked Casey for the presentation at the NACO convention we are lucky to have <br /> them in Hall County. <br /> Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one responded. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4B) DISCUSS &APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR THE 1 &6 YEAR ROAD PLAN -Schuppan made a <br /> motion and Quandt seconded to approving resolution#17-033 FOR THE 1 &6 Year Road Plan. Arnold, <br /> Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 5 <br />
