BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT—Stacey reminded the board member of the upcoming <br /> meetings Stuhr Museum, Senior Citizens and Midland Area Agency on Aging. There will be a <br /> special budget meeting May 17 with the entire board and that will take most of the morning. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Schuppan stated that he helped with the <br /> new car for the assessor but the Taurus is still sitting in the lot. He will take it out to public <br /> works and we need to get rid of it. Discussion was held on how to dispose of it. Schuppan will <br /> get I moved and declare it surplus and dispose of it. <br /> Bredthauer reported that the facilities committee looked at a window that was approved by the <br /> Historical Society and Pella makes the windows. She stated it is a beautiful window and can be <br /> inserted into the current openings. The R factor is higher and it is the best they have seen. <br /> Lanfear stated they received a letter from the postal regulatory commission regarding the <br /> request to appeal the decision to move the downtown office. The appeal has been assigned a <br /> document number and they can file a brief to support the appeal. The deadline is June 12t. He <br /> stated at least they had to accept the appeal and they cannot ignore it. The appeal will have to <br /> be addressed and they will make a decision. He has a letter to send to the US senators and <br /> maybe they may be able to accomplish something. <br /> Lancaster stated they will meet with Emergency Management regarding the budget and it is less <br /> than last year. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS - Chairman Lancaster called for new or unfinished <br /> business. <br /> Lanfear stated there was drug court graduation and there will be another graduation in October <br /> it is a very good program. <br /> 16 EXECUTIVE SESSION — PERFORMANCE EVALUATION -Arnold made a motion and <br /> Lanfear seconded to go into executive session regarding the performance evaluation. This <br /> executive session is to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. Arnold, Bredthauer, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 12:10 a.m. executive session <br /> 12:13 p.m. Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to go out of executives session. No <br /> other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken and no action was taken. Arnold, <br /> Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Lanfear seconded to refer the evaluation to the personnel committee <br /> to present to the employee. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no.
