HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEBRUARY 7, 2017 <br /> The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened February 7, 2016 by published call in the <br /> County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> CALL TO ORDER -The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pamela Lancaster. <br /> INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Steve Johnson. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Karen Bredthauer, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Doug Lanfear, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Stephen Schuppan. Also present were <br /> County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chairman Lancaster read the notice of open meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION -The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Lancaster stated that if anyone from the audience has a <br /> request to reserve time to speak on a specific agenda item, to please come forward at this time <br /> RECOGNITION OF COUNTY EMPLOYEE FOR MILITARY SERVICE —Jane Richardson read <br /> Jeremy Jones he has been employed by the Hall County Sheriff's Department for 11 years. He <br /> started college and then joined the Nebraska National Guard. When 911 happened he was <br /> deployed to the Grand Island Airport for 1 year then sent to Ft Carson Colorado and was sent to <br /> Iraq he returned and worded as the Village Marshall in Clarks and then continued his law <br /> enforcement career by joining the Hall County Sheriff's Department. Greg Ahlers thanked him <br /> for his service. Jeremy also serves on the City council. <br /> Ms. Richardson stated that this concludes the recognition of county employees for military <br /> services. All county employees have been recognized. Quandt thanked Jane for her work on <br /> this. <br /> Lancaster requested that cell phones are turned off and if anyone needs to leave early to let the <br /> board know at this time, <br /> CONSENT AGENDA- Richardson made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the Public Works quarterly report <br /> 3. 11 Set a bid opening for scanning project for Hall County Assessor/Register of deeds for <br /> March 7, 2017 a 9:30 a.m. bids to be received by March 6, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> 4. 14.
