RESOLUTION#1(.0 -0(0 d� <br /> RESTRICTING ACCESS TO HUSKER HIGHWAY <br /> FROM SCHAUPSVILLE ROAD TO US HIGHWAY 30 <br /> DURING HUSKER HARVEST DAYS <br /> WHEREAS, in September of each year Husker Harvest Days is held on property located at 90th <br /> Road and Husker Highway; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Nebraska State Patrol, Hall County Sheriff,Nebraska Department of Roads, and <br /> Hall County Highway Department work as a traffic control planning group for the safe and efficient <br /> movement of traffic on the state highways and county roads that are impacted by Husker Harvest Days <br /> traffic;and <br /> WHEREAS, Husker Harvest Days generates significant vehicular traffic in Hall County, <br /> especially on Husker Highway; and <br /> WHEREAS, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 60-680 provides that local authorities can regulate traffic and <br /> adopt and enforce such temporary regulations as may be necessary to cover special conditions;and <br /> WHEREAS, the traffic control planning group for Husker Harvest Days is concerned that an <br /> increase in traffic using the field entrance driveways along Husker Highway could negatively impact <br /> efforts to keep traffic flowing safely and efficiently;and <br /> WHEREAS, the traffic control planning group recommends that driveway access to Husker <br /> Highway from Schauppsville Road to US Highway 30 during Husker Harvest Days be restricted to use by <br /> existing landowners and limited to uses that existed prior to Husker Harvest Days; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hall County Board deems it necessary, in the interest of traffic safety, to restrict <br /> driveway access along Husker Highway from Schauppsville Road to US Highway 30 to use by existing <br /> landowners and limited to uses that existed prior to Husker Harvest Days. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that driveway access to Husker Highway from <br /> Schauppsville Road to US Highway 30 during Husker Harvest Days shall be restricted to use by existing <br /> landowners and limited to uses that existed prior to Husker Harvest Days. <br />
