HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MAY 3, 2016 <br /> The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened May 3, 2016 by published call in the County <br /> Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Chairman Arnold. <br /> ROLL CALL- Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Dan Purdy, <br /> Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Affidavit on file. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME—Chairman Arnold asked if anyone would like to reserve time <br /> to address a specific agenda item and no one responded. <br /> 1. RECOGNITION OF COUNTY EMPLOYEE FOR MILITARY SERVICE - Jane Richardson <br /> Read the certificate of recognition for Richard Esquitin an employee of the Road Department <br /> thanking him for his service to our country and for his service to Hall County. Richard stated <br /> that he was in the Army for 4 years in the 82nd Airborne and preformed mechanical work. He <br /> has worked for Hall County for 18 years. Casey Sherlock stated that Richard has been the <br /> shop foreman for the last 5 years and he has organized the shop, manages the service on the <br /> equipment and runs a tight ship and does a great job. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA— Purdy made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the following by <br /> consent agenda <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes of the April 19, 2016 meeting <br /> 2. 8 Approved Resolution #16-032 approving the Hall County Hazard Mitigation Plan <br /> 3. 9 Approved the appointment of Paul Sullivan and reappointment of Kevin Prior to the <br /> Hall County Housing Authority Board of Commissioners <br /> 4. 10 Approved Resolution 16-033 proclaiming May 1-7 , 2016 to be Hall County Tourism <br /> week <br /> 5. 13 Placed on file communication from Regional Planning <br /> 6. 14 Approved the bi weekly pay claims <br /> 14a Approved early claims for Grand Island Hall County Visitors Convention Visitors <br /> Bureau for$24,119.00 <br /> 14 b Approve early claim for Grand Island Utilities Dept. (park) for$861.50 <br /> 14 c Approve early claim for Grand Island Utilities Dept. for$9,408.36 <br /> 14 d Approve early claim for Howard County Clerk Magistrate for$7.64 <br /> 7. 16 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts <br /> 8. 17 Placed on file communications <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no.
