HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING APRIL 5, 2016 The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened April 5, 2016 by published call in the County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. CALL TO ORDER -The meeting was called to order by Chairman Arnold. ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Doug Lanfear, Dan Purdy, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting law. VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION —Affidavit on file. REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME —Chairman Arnold asked if anyone would like to reserve time to address a specific agenda item and no one responded. 1. RECOGNITION OF COUNTY EMPLOYEE FOR MILITARY SERVICE - Jane Richardson stated that they are recognizing James Carlson an employee of the IT Department for his military service. James and Doug Drudik came forward. She read the certificate. Mr. Carlson stated he has been in the military for 12 years 3 active and works on computers. He thanked Doug for his patience because quite often his notice to report for service is short. He also thanked his wife and his co work Brandon. He stated he receives quality training in the military that he can use here and also the training he receives here he can use in the military. CONSENT AGENDA-- Purdy made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the following by consent agenda: 1. Placed on file the minutes of the March 22, 2016 meeting 2. 10 Placed on file the report of public tax sale for delinquent 2014 real estate taxes 3. 13 Approved the special designated liquor license for Goodwill Industries for an even to be held August 20, 2016 at Heartland Public Shooting Park 4. 14 Approved the special designated liquor license for Bosselman Foods/Quaker Steak and Lube for May 25, June 11 and 29, July 20 and 27 and August 31 5. 15 Placed on file communications from Regional Planning 6. 16 Approved the bi weekly pay claims and the early claims 7. a) Approve early claim for Grand Island Hall County Convention &Visitors Bureau for $26,788.05 8. b) Approve early claim for Grand Island Utilities Department for$7,668.22 9. c)Approve early claim for Grand Island Utilities for$578.19 10. d) Approve early claim for Grand Island Utilities for$1,286.71 11. e) Approve early claim for Associated Staffing for$772.40 12. f)Approve early claim for Hamilton Telephone Co for$35.85 13. g)Approve early claim for State of Nebraska for$10.72 14. i) Approve early claim for Motor Fuels Division for$1,412.00 15. 17 County office reports none on file 16. 18 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurers miscellaneous receipts 17. 19 Placed on file communications letter from the State Department of Roads and the US Army Corps of Engineers Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no.
