reported that a quarter section of irrigated ground was for sale for$5,000.00 an acre and it did <br /> not sell. <br /> Arnold stated he attended the NACO Conference and at the government surplus vendor stated <br /> that Casey is one of their best customers. He noted his purchase of tank trailer for the offsite <br /> locations and stated there are different rules for tank trailers vs. stationary trailers. He also <br /> looked at some E meeting software. He stated he appreciates NACO. <br /> Lancaster also attend the NACO Conference and reported on the TERC session and also on a <br /> session regarding human trafficking presented by a Stephen Patrick O'Meara, it is a serious <br /> problem. She also reported that National NACO has identified mental health assistance in jails <br /> as an issue to be addressed. Our corrections department does a good job on this issue. <br /> 21 FACILITIES AGENDA- LANFEAR <br /> A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO <br /> SIGN CHANGE ORDER#5 FOR THE 3R0 FLOOR RENOVATION OF RESTROOM <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that this was not included in the original bid it was missed. Lanfear made <br /> a motion and Schuppan seconded to authorize the chair to sign change order#5 for the third <br /> floor restroom renovations in the amount of$12,915.00. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 21 b) DISCUSS AND APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN CHANGE ORDER <br /> #6 FOR THE COURTROOM #1 CEILING RENOVATION —The board approved this project and <br /> this is the change order. Lanfear made a motion and Purdy seconded to authorize the chair to <br /> sign change order#6. <br /> Lancaster stated she is working on the tax credits and is compiling the information that is <br /> needed. They are meeting tomorrow regarding this and are including the entire project. Janet <br /> from building and grounds is filling out the application. <br /> The vote to approve the change order#5 was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 21 c SET BID OPENING FOR THE FLOOR FLATTENING AND SEWER LINE REPAIR AT THE <br /> COURTHOUSE ANNEX FOR JANUARY 26, 2016 AT 10:30 A.M. Mr. Humphrey stated that this <br /> is in the budget to level the floor and do the maintenance on the sewer lines. The sewer lines <br /> are an issue and are being repaired with duct tape. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Purdy seconded to set the bid opening for January 26, 2016 at <br /> 10:30 a.m. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that they have to make repairs in the areas of the building that are being <br /> used. He also noted that the cast iron dries out and cracks and they have to make holes in the <br /> walls to repair them. He also stated that there is a hole in the floor where the elevator used to <br /> be and that needs to be closed up. He also stated the he has had 2 engineers look at it. <br /> Quandt asked about the location of the plumbing and Mr. Humphrey stated that it is clean open <br /> space and you can put the plumbing where ever you want to. The have a line item for this <br /> project for$50,000.00 <br /> 7 <br />
