<br />r~ ~: .350 <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING - NOVEMBER 3, 1992 <br /> <br />~ <br />\~ <br />J <br />""'lt~j <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned <br />session and by published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis <br />presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard <br />Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill <br />Wright. None were absent. <br /> <br />~ <br />, <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of October 27th meeting were accepted as received on motion <br />by Quandt, seconded by Frauen. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz, presented an inter local <br />lease agreement with the fire district for storage of fire equipment <br />in the county road department building north of Grand Island on Hwy <br />281. No action was ask on this agreement since it was not on the <br />agenda. Janulewicz ask that the board take a look at the agreement <br />and at some point take direction on it. <br /> <br />Don Shuda presented a petition concerning the closing of a road <br />in Mayfield_Township known as Schauppsville Road. It is a one mile <br />section ofir~~d! and located between the Loup River Road and prairie <br />Road. Motion made by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to refer the matter <br />to the Public Works Director. On roll call Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Larry Nelson with the city fire department introduced the new fire <br />chief Jim!Rd~elf~toi the county board. <br /> <br />The agreement to provide installation of flashing light signals with <br />automatic gates utilizing constant warning time for project STP-40(36) <br />on county road 2 miles east of Cairo. Motion made by Hartman, seconded <br />by Quandt to approve the agreement. On roll call Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Daniel Hostler, Public Works Director, presented the quarterly report <br />of the f:Lrst quarter of the fiscal year 1992-93. Frauen made motion <br />to \acce~~i the report and place on file, Leslie seconded the motion. <br />On roll call Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Wright voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Ordinances were submitted for stop signs to be placed at the inter- <br />sections of Gunbarrel Raod and Stolley Park Road, Schauppsville Road <br />and Holling Road and Airport Road and 190th Road. Motion made by <br />Frauen, seconded by Hartman to have signs placed as stated. On roll <br />call Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright <br />voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Daniel Hostler, Public Works Director presented a plat map of Rainbow <br />Lake subdivision for board viewing. Hartman made motion to receive <br />the plat and place on file, Frauen seconded the motion. On roll call <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted <br />yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Chairman Landis read a letter from Sheriff ~rnett; concerning the <br />collection of taxes through distress warrants and the interest that <br />has accumalated. This communication has been given to the attorneys <br />office to draw up a resolution to be brought to the board at a later <br />date. There were no futher communications. Frauen made motion to <br />accept and place on file, seconded by Hartman. On roll call vote <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted <br />yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Jan Pelland, County Assessor, explained the process and details <br />required in regards to the commercial reappraisal bids. She asked <br />for approval subject to revisions made with the county attorney <br />and that it be placed on the agenda November 24, 1992 at 10:00 A.M. <br />Motion made by Frauen to accept guidelines for the bids subject to <br />the revisions, seconded by Abernethy. On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none <br />voted no. <br />
