<br />9~ ~~ 33:2J <br /> <br />f. <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, OCTOBER 20, 1992 <br /> <br />~he Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of October 13th meeting were accepb~d as received, on motion by Quandt, <br />seconded by Frauen. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, <br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Attorney's office was not represented. <br /> <br />Commenced audit of monthly claims. <br /> <br />Hartman questioned the use of ethanol in county owned vehicles. Have president <br />of Corn Board come to County Board Meeting and explain use of ethanol. County <br />Board Assistant to make contact and have him on next week's agenda. <br /> <br />Jim Titsworth, Grand Island Independent reporter requested the use of County <br />Board Assistant's office on election night. Discussion followed. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to allow Independent reporter to <br />us~ Board Assistant's office on election night. On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with <br />Wright absent from the room. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ellen Totzke, County Attorney carne to meeting. She presented each member with <br />a copy of letter she had sent to Jack C. Conrad, Director of state Department <br />Motor Vehicles, in regard to LB29l Administrative License revocation appeals. <br />~~otzke explained the reason for the request and asked for County Board support <br />for the request for funding as her present office staff will be unable to <br />handle these cases. <br />MOtion by Wright, seconded by Hartman to support the County Attorney on <br />her request for allocation of federal funds and send lette:~ to Dir3ctor of <br />Motor Vehicles with copy to Governon Nelson. On rOLl call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted Y'S, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Totzke also reported the City of Grand Island is planning to shift the t~affic <br />cases to County Attorney's office also and explained the statute regarding <br />these cases. <br />Cha:_rI Lan Landis to set up meeting with City officials and County Board <br />members to discuss this. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded bJ Quandt to approve Resolution #1435 with Union <br />Bank and Trust as presented. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no.
