Dan Hostler Public Works Director <br />reported on his visit with City LibrarT Director in regard to repairs being <br />done at County Shop instead of City ShllpS. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to send a letter to the Library <br />Board requesting the need to re-negotiate the contract from 1962, with a <br />joint committee from County Board members and Library Board members. On roll <br />call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted <br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on the bill. received from Library Director for bookmobile repairs <br />and the opinion received from Deputy County Attorney Janulewicz. <br />Chairman Landis stated she would appoint county board members for the joint <br />committee at next week's meeting. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy for County to pay repairs for <br />bookmobile in amount of $558.57 as called for in current contract and the <br />library board be requested to pay balance of $446.20. County share to be paid <br />from Miscellaneous General budget. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie <br />Quandt and Wright voted yes, Landis,voted no, Hartman was absent from the <br />room. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee recommends accepting the luw bid of Wilson CG1Crete for <br />$19,040.00. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to accept committee recommendation <br />and acC'ept the low bid of Wilson Concrete $13,040.00 for box culverts. On <br />roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Q'L.andt, Wright and Lcmdis <br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Abernethy reported on t:le law enforcement committee meeting, EPC program <br />meeting held at Friendsllip House and she gave verbal report Oll number of <br />EPC patients. Reported on Visitor's Promotion Committee meeting and, also <br />the Child Abuse Prevention ~onference she attended. <br /> <br />Landis reported there is a meeting Friday, October 16 at 1-80 Holiday Inn <br />in regard to EPC program. <br /> <br />Quandt reported on Senior Citizens Industries meeting and Title 20 monies <br />have been cut drastically. <br /> <br />Wright reported on Weed Control Authority meet.ing he attended last night. <br /> <br />Landis reported she will make appointment for bookmobile, Ambulance and <br />a contract review committees next week. <br /> <br />Law Enforcement Committee written report was read: <br /> <br />In light of the pending retirement of Jail Commander <br />Williams Lawrey, the Law Enforcement Committee recommends <br />the Hall County Board delay authorization for the PONI <br />conference until next spring, and meet with Lancaster County <br />Corrections Specialist Sally Halford. <br /> <br />October 7, 1992 <br /> <br />comm~ai~'th'l <br />
