9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:19 a.m. Returned to the regular meeting <br /> 4. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION --THE SUPERVISORS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE ACTION <br /> ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS. Chairman Arnold called for public participation and Brady Kirkman <br /> requested to address the board regarding the Child Abuse Proclamation <br /> Mr. Kirkman is the director of the Child Advocacy Center and stated that they have served 117 <br /> during 2013 and 330 during 2014. This is a positive move the community is doing what they <br /> need to do. <br /> Arnold noted that law enforcement is grateful for the assistance of the trained people that do the <br /> interviews. <br /> The Proclamation was read. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one responded. <br /> 5 .COUNTY ATTORNEY - County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf reported that the rent and the <br /> insurance has been paid. He did not have any items on the agenda. <br /> 6a. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE — DISCUSS & CONSIDER RESOLUTION FOR <br /> INTERSECTION STOP CONTROL AT FARMSTEAD & PRAIRIE ROAD— County Surveyor <br /> Casey Sherlock was present. This resolution is not correct so he will bring it back in 2 weeks. <br /> He explained that there is no secondary exit route from the Farmstead Subdivision. This is a <br /> narrow street and there is a stop sign already there. <br /> 6b) DISCUSS &APPROVE STOP CONTROL AT ENGELMAN ROAD & PRAIRIE ROAD - Mr. <br /> Sherlock stated that they are proposing to put a 4 way stop control on this intersection. There <br /> are large 100 year old cottonwood trees in the right of way and cutting the trees may not be <br /> enough so he is proposing the 4 way stop. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Purdy seconded to approve Resolution #15-016 Approving the <br /> stop control at Engelman Road & Prairie Road. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 3 <br />
