It is not a requirement <br /> but a good practice. Any meeting should be open to the public it is good open government and <br /> would establish a sense of goodwill to the community. The recommendations from the <br /> committees have a great weight when the board is making decisions. He encouraged the board <br /> to open the meetings in a spirit of good government. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for any other public participation and no one responded. <br /> 4. COUNTY ATTORNEY— No items. <br /> 8 DISCUSSION REGARDING MAYORS INVITATION TO ATTEND JOINT MEETING <br /> Arnold stated that he stated that the county board has been invited to the Grand Island City <br /> Council retreat on March 28. It would be a public meeting. Quandt questioned if the majority of <br /> the board members were going to attend. Discussion was held and it will be advertised. <br /> 2 <br />
