HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEBRUARY 10, 2015 The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened February 10, 2015 by published call in the County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. CALL TO ORDER -The meeting was called to order by Chairman Arnold. INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Gene Arnold Scott's father. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Pam Lancaster, Douglas Lanfear, Dan Purdy, Gary Quandt, Jane Richardson and Steve Schuppan. Elected and Appointed Officials present were County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, County Clerk Marla Conley, County Assessor Jan Pelland, County Treasurer Peg Pesek Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka and representatives from the news media. NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chairman Arnold read the notice of open meeting law. REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME —Chairman Arnold stated that if anyone from the audience has a request to reserve time. Greg Cramer, Mayor of Wood River requested to item #6 and Cynthia Lindberg requested to address item #2 Board of Equalization. Purdy made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve the following by consent agenda: 1. Placed on file the minutes of the January 27th meeting 2. 7a Authorized the chair to sign the agreement for registered land surveying for Project No. S40D(105) 3. 7b Authorized the chair to sign agreement for registered land surveying for Project No. 11-2(117) 4. 7c Authorized the chair to sign agreement for registered land surveying for Project No. M440SD 5. 7d Authorized the chair to sign agreement for registered land surveying for Project No. NH-2-491100 Cairo West 6. 7e Set the bid opening for March 10, 2015 for 2014— 2015 asphalt resurfacing phase#2 bids due by March 9, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. 7. 11 Placed on file the Hall County Keno financial report fro quarter ending December 31, 2014 8. 12 Set the public hearing for February 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. to amend the Hall County Budget to increase funds in the sick/vacation fund 9. 15 Placed on file communications from regional planning meeting was rescheduled 10. 16a Approved the bi weekly pay claims 11. 16b Approved the early claim for Culligan for$172.69 12. 17 Placed on file the county office reports from the Assessor/Register of Deeds, Hall & Howard County Juvenile Diversion, County sheriff December report County Sheriff quarterly report and County Clerk 13. 18 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous receipts 14. 19 Placed on file communications Quandt requested that the minutes be distributed sooner he did not review them. Arnold, Lanfear, Purdy, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and Quandt voted no and Lancaster abstained. Motion carried. 1
