10. EXECUTIVE SESSION — UNION NEGOTIATIONS Purdy made a motion and Arnold <br /> seconded to go into executive session regarding union negotiations. Chairman McFarland <br /> stated that there are two reasons for an executive session to prevent needless harm and injury <br /> to an individual or to protect the public interest. This is to protect the public interest. Arnold, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Lancaster <br /> was absent. <br /> 9:21 a.m. executive session <br /> 10:03 a.m. Ziola made a motion and Quandt seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Chairman McFarland stated that no other subjects were discussed, no action was taken and no <br /> votes were taken. Arnold, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Lancaster was absent. <br /> 6.10:00 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING CONDITIONAL USE FOR AURORA COOPERATIVE <br /> ELEVATOR COMPANY SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 10 NORTH RANGE 11 —Quandt made a <br /> motion and Ziola seconded to open the public hearing. Arnold, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Lancaster was absent. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that this is a request for the renewal of the conditional use permit in Wood <br /> River. There are representatives present for the hearing. <br /> Mr. Humphrey read the letter from Delbert Stueven, 5251 West Husker Highway, Alda NE. He <br /> expressed concern on the water that is pumped from the facility and wanted to make sure that <br /> there are no contaminants in the water that is released. Mr. Stueven could not attend the <br /> hearing today. <br /> Mr. James Brokaw and Mr. Don Engel 2922 Antelope Road were present and stated that the <br /> water that is in the fertilizer detention walls and it is rain water and sometimes when it rains the <br /> water may be pumped out. It is just rain water and they do not test it. They have not had any <br /> problems. <br /> Chairman McFarland called for questions from the board. <br /> Chairman McFarland called for questions for public participation and no one responded. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that based on this information he would recommend renewing the <br /> conditional use permit for 5 years. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, McFarland, <br /> Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Lancaster was absent. <br /> 6b) APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR AURORA <br /> COOPERATIVE ELEVATOR - Schuppan made a motion and Ziola seconded to approve <br /> Resolution #14-069 For the renewal of the conditional use permit for Aurora Cooperative <br /> Elevator Company NE 1/4 of Section Fifteen(15) Township Ten(10 North, Range Eleven (11). <br /> Arnold, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Lancaster was absent. <br /> 5 <br />
