17. APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND REGULAR CLAIMS---The board members <br /> received the board pre approval list. Schuppan made a motion and Ziola seconded to approve <br /> the bi weekly pay claims and the regular claims except for Office Net. Lancaster, McFarland, <br /> Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Arnold was absent. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Ziola seconded to approve the claim for Office Net. <br /> Lancaster, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Arnold was <br /> absent. McFarland abstained because he has a business relationship with Office Net. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 21. COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS --Chairman McFarland called for <br /> committee or board member reports. The board members have been doing the inventories. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT— no report <br /> 23 FACILITIES MEETING — Loran Humphrey was present items 1 and 2 will be changed to <br /> September 9th meeting. <br /> 3. Judge Livingston wants to know if the County is interested in purchasing the desk and <br /> credenza in his office. Mr. Humphrey stated that Judge Livingston wants to know if the board is <br /> interested in his furniture. He did not give a dollar amount McFarland stated it would be better <br /> than purchasing new and have to move it out and move new in. They will talk to the judge and <br /> discuss in 2 weeks. <br /> 5. Discussion & possible action to also include new domestic water line to improve the water in <br /> the courthouse with the HVAC renovation Mr. Humphrey stated that this needs to be addressed. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan seconded to include the new domestic water line with <br /> the HVAC project. Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Arnold was absent. Motion carried <br /> 6. Discussion & possible action Courthouse window renovation or replacement <br /> This would be a separate contract and there would need to be specifications and they would <br /> have to go out for bids. They would need to decide what kind of windows historic or inserts. <br /> The cost would be about the same. They could also do era specific storm windows on the <br /> outside. The historical society encouraged them to consider the historic windows. <br /> Lancaster stated the county will need a general contractor and they need a lot of information. <br /> Discussion was held on the various options for the windows and Mr. Humphrey requested some <br /> guidance. <br /> 24 DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON SALARY STUDY REGARDING INCLUSIVE <br /> DEPARTMENTS &AREAS — Discussion was held if the elected officials should be included and <br /> there may be some potential to address this before the end of the 4 years. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Lancaster seconded to move forward with the salary study and to <br /> include the elected officials and appointed officials. Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Arnold was absent. Motion carried <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS —Chairman McFarland called for new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> 6 <br />
