The total of the project is $950,000.00 Hall County's share would be $875,000.00 and <br /> $75,000.00 coming from other sources. <br /> He reviewed the 2013 asphalt condition map with the ratings of the roads according to color. <br /> He also reviewed the bridges showing some of the old bridges that need replaced and the <br /> progress of the improvements that have been made. He showed pictures of the bridges in Hall <br /> County. <br /> He briefly reviewed the 6 year plan. <br /> Called for public participation and for comments from the board members and no one <br /> responded. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 5b DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON RESOLUTION APPROVING 1&6 YEAR ROAD PLAN - <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Purdy seconded to approve Resolution #14-033 <br /> For the 1 & 6 Road Program. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 5C. AWARD BIDS FOR BUILDING ADDITION TO WOOD RIVER AND CAIRO PUBLIC <br /> WORKS MAINTENANCE BUILDINGS– Mr. Sherlock stated that the bids were received and <br /> opened 2 weeks ago. The County Engineer and Assistant Public Works Director have been <br /> working on this project. The low bid for the Cairo Maintenance building was from Steel Crafters <br /> and the low bid for the Wood River maintenance building was from Nelson Contracting for <br /> $46,000.00. The public works committee is recommended awarding the bids to the two low <br /> bidders. They both had a start date of 1 month or 30 days. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Arnold seconded to accept the low bid from Steel Crafter and the <br /> low bid from Nelson Contracting and authorize the Chair to sign the contracts. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Quandt asked if the City and County have worked together regarding the truck by pass for <br /> the city. Mr. Sherlock stated that he was part of the group discussion but it has not gone <br /> anywhere. Now with the metropolitan status the MPO would coordinate that issue. <br /> Mr. Lancaster thanked Mr. Sherlock for what he does to make the roads safer for Hall County <br /> residents. <br /> Held a 5 minute break <br /> 5 <br />
