OFFICE REPORT <br /> HALL COUNTY JUVENILE SERVICES <br /> FEBRUARY 2014 <br /> NEW JUVENILE REFERRAL 24 <br /> TOTAL JUVENILES UNDER SUPERVISION 161 <br /> FEES COLLECTED $2,184.00 <br /> OFFICE REPORT <br /> HOWARD COUNTY <br /> FEBRUARY 2014 <br /> JUVENILE REFERRALS 7 JUVENILE <br /> TOTAL JUVENILE ENROLLEES 8 JUVENILES <br /> FEES COLLECTED FOR MONTH $420.00 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:23 a.m. adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> 7, APPROVE RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF NORTHWEST GIRLS STATE <br /> CHAMPIONS BASKETBALL TEAM - Chairman McFarland stated that the Northwest Girls won <br /> the Class B basketball championship and he read Resolution #14-009 recognizing the team He <br /> also presented certificates of recognition to the Coach to present to the girls. He introduced the <br /> senior girls that were present. <br /> Purdy made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve Resolution #14-009 and present the <br /> certificates to the team members. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION —Chairman McFarland called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 8. PRESENTATION ON VIGIL SERVICE FOR VETERANS HOME— Mr. Quandt stated that <br /> there will be a prayer vigil service for the Veterans Home Sunday March 30th at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Korinna Naranjo stated this is for the members and the care givers. They will start at the park <br /> and walk to the memorial cemetery. <br /> 14. DISCUSS AND APPROVE RENEWAL OF JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY BLOCK GRANT <br /> Mr. Ziola stated that this is the renewal of the block grant. County Attorney Mark Young and <br /> Kelli Schadwinkel were present. The funds from this grant are used to fund one of the officers <br /> and the office. Mr. Young stated that this is the last year of this grant but it will come back in a <br /> different form. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Lancaster seconded to authorize the Chair to sign the block grant. <br /> The total amount is $19,254.00. Mr. Young stated that there are changes but there will be other <br /> grants available. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 2 <br />
