<br />9 ;? ;:::- -;/ c; / <br /> <br />;7 <br /> <br />--.J---- <br />gCounty Court Clerk Magistrate Alice Mahoodr~HQrted,the County Court budget is <br />overspent by $17,855.16 and requested additIonal funding for balance of this <br />budget year. Overexpenditure is due to court appointed counsel and juror <br />'fees. Discussion followed in regard to the additional funds to cover the <br />March warrants which are being mailed out today and then look at the funding <br />available to cover the balance of this budget year. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to transfer $18,000.00 from Misc- <br />ellaneous general - miscellaneous fund to the County Court budget to cover the <br />March claims. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright, <br />and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Supervisor Wright brought for discussion the paying of microfilming for County <br />Court to be paid from the microfilming line item in Miscellaneous General <br />budget. Board members agreed this was where microfilming should be paid from. <br /> <br />Chairperson Landis asked the Criminal Justice Committee to meet with Clerk <br />Magistrate and 'County Judges to project amount of funds needed for the balance <br />of budget year. <br /> <br />Jan Pelland, County Assessor presented tax correction notices #2985 thru <br />#3018 for approval. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to authorize chairperson to sign <br />tax correction notices #2985 thru #3018. On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with <br />Hartman absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />(1) John R. Brownell, Attorney in regard~p~ication~for abandonment of <br />certain property in Krug Subdivision located-arrectly west of Mormon <br />Island State Park, On the east side of Lot one is a county road known <br />-as 9 Bridge Road. Under section 39-1722, County Board can initiate a <br />road vacation by resolution. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to refer to County Attorney and Public <br />Works Director Hostler for recommendation on the request. On roll call vote <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted <br />no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />(2) from Mid Nebraska: Agricultural Development Corporation for an organiza- <br />tional meeting April 1, 1992 at 3:00 p.m. at Bank of Doniphan. <br />(Supervisor Leslie to attend this meeting.) <br /> <br />(3) Letter fITom Regional Planning Director with notice of public hearing before <br />the Regional Planning Commission on April 1, 1992 at 7:30 pm. in City <br />Council Chambers in regard to change of land use from R2 (low density <br />residential) Zone to Rl (suburban re~idential) Zone for properties <br />containing approximately 56 acres located between Westridge School and <br />George Park, from North Road to Independence Avenue~ <br /> <br />(4) State of Nebraska Department Road returned one copy of agreement for <br />Project No. BRO-7040(17) Wood River S.W. Hall County, Supplemental <br />agreement which county has pledged $7780.00 as their share of cost of the <br />project. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to place on file the communications <br />received today. On roll call vote Abernetpy,Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright <br />and Landis voted yes, none voted no, wi th-- Hartman absent .', Motion carried. <br />' . ~- <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Frauen reported on Health Department meeting on review of their budget that <br />he and Hartman had attended. <br /> <br />Abernethy reported on Criminal Justice Committee meeting and also the Congr- <br />essional Hearing on Juvenile issues which she attended. <br /> <br />Wright reported he had conducted a tour of county offices with teacher and <br />six students yesterday. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant reported needed to set up days and <br />time for CWA negotiation meetings as Chairman Landis had received letters <br />from the Union representative and Jerry Pigsley, Attorney had also received <br />notices. Also reported on meeting set for Wednesday, April 8 for County <br />Department heads to hear presentations from local office suppliers in pre- <br />paration for joint purchasing. <br /> <br />Chairman Landis reported she had had the Assistant check on the County Audit <br />contract and will need to decide what board members wish to do about a new <br />contract. <br />
