-: 9)7 ~ ry COMMUNICATIONS: (1) State of Nebraska Dept of Roads in regard to bridges of historic signifi- cance. Enclosed was a letter from Nebraska State Historical Society listing the Nine Bridges Bridge, located 3.9 miles north of Doniphan on abandoned county road over Middle Channel of Platte River S24, TION, RIOW, Hall County. This will be reviewed at meeting on Friday May 1, 1992 at 1:00 p.m. at Nebr Dept Roads Auditorium, 1500 Nebrska Highway 2, Lincoln, NE Any comments may be sent in writing or ma~ attend the meeting. (2) State of Nebraska Dept of Roads in regard to the meeti~g with Dan Hostler on county road realignments and railroad crossing signals in Hall County. (3) Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism, with April Alcohol Awareness Month, they will host an alcohol education series for interested persons in the legal system, local government and the media. Dates are on Mondays April 13, 20, 27 and May 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. (4) Regional Planning Commission to consider the Stear ley Subdivison, located on East side of AIda Road approximately 5/8 mile north of Rosedale Road, at their meeting on April 1, 1992 at 7:30p.m. in City Council Chambers. (5) From Deputy County Attorney in regard to statement/claim for services rendered by Seanne Emerton for $600.00 with recommendation that the Board deny payment of claim. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to accept recommendation and deny payment of claim for Seanne Emerton for $600.00 On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. p 'Vo .-: Ul COMMITTEE REPORTS: pUl giAbernethy reported on Head Start meeting. She stated representatives from m 'Wasaisgtea D.e. will be here next week to review the program. She also ..~reported on the Region III Governing Board meeting. Z~ O-r-! ~UQuandt reported Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting is this Thursday. UUl ~~Hartman reported they will be having meeting on the concrete at Weed Control ~~building with the architect. 010 U!ll:i ~ Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant reported she had been contacted by a ~ 5th grade teacher requesting a tour of county offices on Wednesday, April 1st, ~ Frauen offered to conduct the tour. ~., ....... ~ Abernethy reported she had visited the jail at Lexington, Nebraska, and reported on that visit. Meeting was adjourned at 11:05 A.M. and Board members will make their quarterly visit to the County Jail facility.
