<br />(1) from Civil Defense Director in regard to Severe weather awareness
<br />week March 16th through March 22nd 1992. A statewide tornado
<br />warning drill is scheduled for Nebraska on Wednesday March 18,1992

<br />(2) Letter from Senator David Landis in reply to letter received from
<br />County Board members in regard to LBl192.
<br />
<br />(3) Announcement of Open House for Children's Village Family Resource
<br />Center on February 24 and February 25, 1992 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
<br />and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 1919 West 9th street Grand Island.

<br />he is withdrawing claim from consideration and shaLl proceed with

<br />COMMITTEE REPORTS:

<br />Hartman read report from Building & Grounds Committee ,recommending the Board
<br />receive sealed bids on one new light duty pickup truck on March 17, 1992 at
<br />1:30 p.m.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to accept the recommendation and
<br />rece i ve bids for pickup on ~larch 17, 1992 at 1: 30 p. m. for bui Iding & grounds
<br />department. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Ha+tman, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Hartman reported the Building & Grounds Committee recommends hiring Sid Cook
<br />at estimated cost of $900.00 to do the survey in 'connection with the American
<br />Disability Act.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to accept the recommendation of
<br />Building & Grounds Committee to have the survey done, with cost to be paid
<br />from Building & Grounds budget. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman,
<br />Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Abernethy, reported on Head Start Meeting she attended. She also had visited
<br />with Sonna Holmes in regard to some questions on Children's Village.
<br />
<br />Quandt reported on Senior City Industries meeting and also Communications-
<br />Civil Defense Committee meetings.
<br />
<br />Public Works Committee Committee and Director recommended accenting the
<br />following on gravel bids received today. Project #1 Hooker a~os Sand & Gravel
<br />$23,555.00; Project #2 H&M Equipment Co $19,842.50; Project # 3 Bruner's
<br />Sand & Grvel $25,626.00 and Project #4 H&M Equipment Co $24,950.00 Also
<br />accept bids on all pit prices.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to accept Public Works Committee
<br />recommendations. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie,
<br />Quandt and Wright voted yes, Landis abstained because owns sand pit and
<br />possible conflict of interest. Motion carried.

<br />Building & Grounds Committee recommends accepting the low bid of Total
<br />Services $49,900.00 for janitorial services for Courthouse, Administration
<br />building and Social Services Building, for one year.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to accept Committee report and
<br />award the bid to Total Services for one year. On roll call vote Abernethy,
<br />Frauen",' Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no.
