<br />fcl ~ - ;If" <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, FEBRUARY 18, 1992 <br /> <br />~. , The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned session <br />~ and by published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis presiding. <br />~" <br />.~ Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Margaret Landis, <br />Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. Richard Frauen arrived 9:20 A.M. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of February 11th meeting were accepted as received by mail, on motion <br />by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy. On roll call vote Abernethy, Hartman,Leslie, <br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with Frauen absent. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. Spoke in regard to Board <br />members questions on keno. He will try to have a person from State out to <br />speak to the Board members about Keno for the February 25th meeting. <br /> <br />Don Kelly, Airport Authority Board Member introduced the new Airport Manager <br />Kristie Feusner. She spoke briefly and answered questions from the board <br />members. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director reported on National Convention he attended <br />2 weeks ago. He presented a copy of the NACO Legislative Bulletin. <br /> <br />Commenced audit of monthly claims. <br /> <br />9:30 A.M. conducted interviews with Jim McCord and Donald Mehring who were <br />applicants for the Airport Board members position left vacant by resignation <br />of Gary Klein. <br />Written ballot was cast for the position. On count of ballots, Donald <br />Mehring 5 votes, Jim McCord 2 votes. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to appoint Donald Mehring as Airport <br />Authority Board Member. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman ,Leslie , <br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Continued audit of monthly claims. <br /> <br />Discussion on claim submitted for James F. Castleberry for accumlated sick <br />leave. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Leslie to accept Deputy County Attorney <br />recommendation to deny payment of claim for Castleberry for $6288.00 On roll <br />call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted <br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on claim submitted for St. Francis Medical Center $129.00 for <br />emergency services. Motion by Quandt, seconded. by Frauen to accept Deputy <br />County Attorney recommendation to receive claim but no . action be taken at <br />this time, on: St Francis Medical Center claim $129.00 On roll call vote <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Max Morse, Dir~ctor Mid Plains Professional Services and Tom Cook, Director <br />for Children's Village Family Resource Center were present to give a monthly <br />report of activities of Children's Village Center. Approximately one half <br />hour was spent in discussion on this matter. <br /> <br />Board Members recessed at 12:00 noon for lunch. To return to regular session <br />at 1:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Returned to regular session at 1:30 P.M. with all County Board Members <br />present. <br /> <br />1:30 P.M. to receive and open bids for janitorial Services for Hall County <br />Courthouse, Administration Building and Social Service Office Building. <br />Affidvatit,of publication was read as published in Grand Island Daily <br />Independent on February 3rd and February 10, 1992. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to open bids received. On roll call vote <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Two bids were received, opened and read. <br />Total Services,Thomas Oshlo $49,900.00 <br />'J <br />R.D. Janitoral, Rich Aguilar $54,660.00 <br /> <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy to accept bids and refer to Building <br />& Grounds Committee for review and comparison. On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen; Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br />
