Discussion on Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance paid by county for full time employees only. Part time employees pay own insurance. Lauri Shultis, Director of Crisis Center gave a 6 month report on the activities at the Center. Jean Fisher, Board representative for Crisis Center was present during the report. She requested County Board to appoint somone to fill in during her absence, so claims from the Center can be processed in a timely manner. Was determined Board Assistant Ellen Merrill should assist Jean Fisher with the claims. Discussed the setting date for Annual Road Tour. Board members determined to start County Board Meeting at 8:30 A.M. on January 28, 1992 and complete business by noon and start road tour right after lunch and then will set another date later to complete the road tour on another day. COMMUNICATIONS: (1) Richard Aguilar, R.D. Aguilar Janitorial letter was read in regard to services provided at Social Service building and also a copy of letter from Social Service Office Supervisor in regard to his excellent services. (2) Letter from Deputy County Attorney in regard to claim received from Geotechnical Services Inc, concerning the Sycamore Street building services on December 17, 1991 for $110.00 Board members determined this services should be charged to Building & Grounds building construction costs and paid from Inheritance fund. (3) Letter from Deborah Schroeder, Route 2 Box 80, Shelton, Nebraska in regard to maintenance on road on the Hall County line located approximately 3~ miles north of Shelton. To refer copy to Public Works Director and Committee to check out the location. (4) Madison County Board notice they will accept sealed bids on February 18, 1992 for 1962 Flaherty chip spreader and 1964 Ford 5 yard dump truck. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to place on file the communications received today. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Hartman - Attended Weed Control Meeting. Frauen - attended Veterans Service Committee meeting. County Board members need to appoint committee member to fill unexpired term as per letter of request received last week. Abernethy - attended Regional III Governing Board Meeting. She gave an update report on the Mary Lanning Hospital Services. Hall County had 5 admissions and 7 dismissals. She also reported on a Helpline brochure just recently completed and gave each board member a copy. Also reported on juvenile programs. Leslie - None ,-[ Quandt - Attended Task Force Meeting and also Mid Nebraska ~etardat~onMeeting. ~~ Wright - None Landis - Reported she is to attend Family Violence Coalition meeting at noon tomorrow and questioned if Board Members approves of the Committee recommendation to allow them to use the vacant office space on lower level of Courthouse, so she can report to them. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy to approve the Building & Grounds Committee recommendation received last week to approve the use of the vacant office space on the lower level of courthouse for Family Violence Coalition. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. County Board Assistant gave report on the Smil Conservation Service video program she had viewed as directed by County Board members. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to authorize County Clerk to run ad to advertise for vacancy on Airport Authority Board and to receive applic~tions until February 11th meeting. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
