Place contract on agenda for January <br />4th meeting. <br /> <br />Stelk reported she attended the land valuation meeting with State Department <br />and County Assessors. She reported Landis, Leslie and Quandt also attended. <br /> <br />Quandt reported he attended the Superintendent of Schools meeting and also <br />the land valuation meeting. <br /> <br />Landis also reported on Children's Village foster Parent meeting. Abernethy, <br />"):::;esTieiand Landis attended the meeting. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />1. Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director absent from his office December <br />23rd thru December 30th. <br /> <br />2. Notice of Dawson Area Development meeting scheduled for Thursday, <br />January 13th 1994 at Grand Island Interstate Holiday Inn, 1:00 to <br />3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />3. Letter from Jack Mills, Executive Director NACO announcing the <br />resignation of Pat Vuchetich from NACO office effective January 15, 1994 <br /> <br />4. Letter from West Nebraska Juvenile Services, Gering Nebraska seeking <br />support,for their facility for troubled youth. <br /> <br />5. State of Nebraska State Civil Defense Agency in regard to Public <br />Officials Conference-1993 Disaster Review held in Grand Island on <br />November 4 & 5, 1993 with documents Qfitheissues and comments collected <br />from those in attendance. - <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to place on file the communications <br />received today. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no, with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill ~ounty Board Assistant gave weekly update and reports. <br /> <br />Chairman adjourned the meeting at 4:27 p.m. Next meeting will be Tuesday <br />January 4, 1994. Meeting for December 28, 1993 was cancelled due to <br />holidays. <br /> <br />
