<br />93~3~~ <br /> <br />! <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, DECEMBER 21, 1993 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, Robert Leslie, <br />Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Absent was Irene Abernethy and Margaret <br />Landis. Landis arrived at 9:07 a.m. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Leslie. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Approved minutes of December 14th as received, on motion by Stelk, seconded <br />by Frauen. Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted <br />no with Abernethy and Landis absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He presented written <br />opinion in regard to overtime for Deputy Clerk of District Court. <br />Landis arrived during this discussion. <br />Will research and issue opinion in regard to Supervisor Hartman's question <br />if road is county road or not. <br />Janulewicz spoke in regard to claim submitted from Scottsdale Insurance <br />Recommended paying claim for $2993.18 court case. <br /> <br />Commenced audit of monthly claims <br /> <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to amend agenda to add Executive <br />Session to discuss with Deputy Attorney Mark Young billing for EPCpatient~ <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no,' <br />with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Landis to recess for Executive Session with <br />Deputy Attorney Mark Young. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session at 10:12 A.M. to discuss EPC patient medical services <br />claim. Returned to regular session at 10:20 a.m. on motion by Landis, <br />seconded by Hartman. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no, with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />John Wagoner, Attorney spoke to board members in regard to real estate <br />valuations in Hall County. He asked County Board to contact or write <br />letter to Dennis Donner, Department Revenue, in regard to valuations. <br />He asked letter be written and stress against the Legislature setting the <br />valuations in Hall County. <br /> <br />Continued audit of monthly claims. <br />checked. <br /> <br />Several claims were discussed and' <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to hold for clarification claims <br />from Nebraska Office $91.02 for tape recorder, medical claim $1015.00 <br />for EPC patient, St. Francis Medical Center $10,355.81 inmates medical <br />services, J.A. Nader, M.D. medical for inmate. $2588.40 Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Abernethy <br />absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to change salary claims for Linda <br />Zimmerman overtime $1,655.46 be denied and change Clyde Colman salary <br />claim $41.65 to reflect 1993 salary and not 1994 salary. Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Abernethy <br />absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk to authorize payment of the remaining <br />claims as audited. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no, with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Recssed meeting at 11:57 a.m. Returned to session at 1:30 P.M. with all <br />board members present except Abernethy. <br /> <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Landis to recess for Executive Session for <br />discussion with Sheriff and Chief Deputy Sheriff in regard to Union <br />negotations. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no, with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session at 1:02 p.m. returned to regular session at 1:47 p.m. <br />on motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk.
