Motion carried. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Stelk reported she attended the NACO convention in Omaha last week, also <br />the Jail Standards Meeting in Lincoln on Friday. <br /> <br />Landis reported would be ReUse Committee meeting tomorrow (Wednesday, October <br />27th) at 2:00 p.m. in County Board meeting room. <br /> <br />Leslie reported on meeting with Social Service representatives, Mid Plains <br />Center representative and Children's Village representative. Will be another <br />meeting on November 17th at 10:00 a.m. with 3 County Board Members, 3 members <br />Mid Plains Center Board and representatives from State Department Social Ser- <br />vices to be present_at the Mid Plains Center meeting room. Leslie requested <br />chairman to appoint three board members to attend. Leslie, Landis and <br />Abernethy to represent Hall County Board members. <br /> <br />Frauen reported on Health Board meeting attended last week. His 6 years on <br />Health Board will be up in January so County Board will need to appoint a <br />new board member. <br /> <br />Abernethy reported on NACO convention attended in Omaha last week. <br /> <br />Abernethy & Stelk to attend Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting in Hastings <br />on Thursday. <br /> <br />Landis, member personnel committee reported following salaries for appointed <br />officials;' <br /> <br />Building & Grounds Superintendent <br />County Park Superintendent <br />Public Works Director <br />Building Inspector <br />Weed Control Superintendent <br />Corrections Director <br />County Board Assistant <br /> <br />$23,915. on January 7,1994 <br />$22,522. retroactive July 1, <br />$41,243. <br />$25,680. retroactive August 7 <br />$23,000. on January 1, 1994 <br />$38,000. on January 1, 1994 <br />$25,988. on June 10, 1994 <br /> <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Frauen to set salaries as presented, and <br />Corrections Director $38,000.00 January 1, 1994 and Weed Control Superintendent <br />$23,000.00 on January 1, 1994 Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted no, stating he felt were to large of salary <br />increases. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on claim held from last week for Carol M. Helleberg $50.00 for <br />interpreter fees. <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Leslie to authorize payment of claim for <br />Carol Helleberg for interpreter fees $50.00 Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
