<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, OCTOBER 12, 1993

<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session
<br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding.
<br />
<br />Present were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, Margaret Landis,
<br />Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of October 5th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by Stelk,
<br />seconded by Frauen. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and
<br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He gave each board member a
<br />copy of letter from Elloise Carrico, Clerk of District Court and gave update
<br />information on her resignation.
<br />
<br />Discussion on appointed Officials step increases. Some board members felt they
<br />needed additional information. Was placed on agenda for October 26th meeting.

<br />Letter of notification was received from Stuhr Museum Board President with
<br />recommendation of Mrs. Donna Wanitschke of Doniphan be appointed to the board
<br />to fill the last 10 months of Mr. James Minor's term which will expire on
<br />June 30, 1994.

<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to approve the appointment of Donna
<br />Wanitschke to the Stuhr Museum Board. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Final Plats were presented for Kelsey's Korner Subdivision located on south
<br />side of Guenther Road immediately east of l30th Road, Valley Vista Subdivision
<br />and Valley Vista Second Subdivision located on east side of McGuire Road south
<br />of 13th Street.
<br />Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director explained reasons for subdivisions
<br />and the locations.
<br />Regional Planning Commission had approved and recommended the County
<br />Board approve the final plats as submitted.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to accept and authorize chairman
<br />to sign the final plats for Kelsey's Korner, Valley Vista and Valley Vista
<br />Second Subdivisions as submitted. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis,
<br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Recessed for Board of Equalization at 10:04 a.m. and returned to regular
<br />session at 10:10 a.m.
<br />
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to accept and place on file County
<br />office reports as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />County Sheriff, fees earned for month of July $9,317.92

<br />Veterans Service Office quarterly report ending September 30, 1993
<br />
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to accept and place on file the County
<br />Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
