<br />Abernethy reported she attended Family Violence Coalition meeting, Leadership
<br />Tomorrow recognition, served on the Merit Commission in Landis absence,
<br />attended the Audit Committee, Courthouse Committee and Building & Grounds
<br />Committee meetings. The Courthouse Committee have prepared a long range
<br />planning survey draft form to be placed on next week's agenda for discussion.
<br />
<br />Leslie reported on the Mid Plains meeting.
<br />Stelk attended the Courthouse Committee meeting, Orientation for Midland Area
<br />on Agency.
<br />Quandt attended the ReUse Committee meeting and Solid Waste Management meeting.

<br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant reported Veterans Service Officer had
<br />contacted about the purchase of copy machine for his office.
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to authorize Veterans Service
<br />Office to purchase copy machine but to obtain at least three cost proposals.
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with
<br />Hartman and Landis absent. Motion carried.

<br />Merrill reported ReUse Committee Advisory member has resigned. Name of Jeff
<br />Raymond has been recommended as replacement.
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to approve the appointment of Jeff
<br />Raymond to replace Emily Chen as Advisory memb~r on Reuse Committee. Aber-
<br />nethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no,. with Hart-
<br />man and Landis absent. Motion carried.

<br />Meeting of Building & Grounds Committee and Rick Stepanek has been set for
<br />October 6th at 1:00 p.m. for meeting with Otis Elevator representatives.

<br />Meeting was recessed at 11:15 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for Board of Corrections
<br />meeting.

<br />Returned to session at 1:30 p.m. for Board of COrrections Meeting.

<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to pay Richard Hartman mileage

<br />voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman and Landis absent. Motion carried.
