<br />93F- ;(tJ3 <br /> <br />~ ~'~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, J E 29, 1993 <br /> <br />~'\' <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt pres'ding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Richard Frauen, Richard Ha tman, Margaret Landis, <br />Robert Leslie and Gary Quandt. Tammie Ste1k arrive at 9:05 a.m. and <br />Irene Abernethy was absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Leslie. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of June 22nd meeting were accepted as reCeiV!d on motion <br />seconded by Landis. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie Quandt and <br />yes, none voted no, with Abernethy absent. Motion c rried. <br /> <br />by Frauen, <br />Stelk voted <br /> <br />...-' <br /> <br />State of Nebraska Department of Roads agreement for roject NO. BRO-7040(20) <br />A1da East(Hall County) was presented. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to approv and authorize Chairman <br />to sign agreement with State Department of Roads for AIda East Project. <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk VOied yes, none voted no, <br />with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. Also present were <br />Mike Johnson Attorney, Hugh Minor, and Larry Taylor representing Fonner Keno. <br />Janulewicz spoke in regard to the Agreement for Fonn r Keno. Mike Johnson <br />Attorney for Fonner explained the reason for request to change agreement from <br />$25,000.00 to $50/000.00 for keno prize. He reques ed the Board to approve <br />the change as requested. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis to approv the request and author- <br />ize chairman to sign the Modification of Lottery Ope ator Agreement as pre- <br />sented. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt an, Stelk voted yes, none <br />voted qo, with Abernethy absent. Motion carried. t <br /> <br />Larry Taylor, Manager of Fonner Keno gave update rep rt on the keno operation. <br />State Department of Revenue are due to review and in pect the equipment <br />tomorrow, Fonner has started training people and hope to be up and running <br />keno in a week or 10 days after license is received. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney Janulewicz had requested executive S <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk to recess f <br />regard to personnel as requested. Have closing sc eduled for this week. <br />Have had water damage to building and insurance asse sed the damages $3948.71 <br />and will send settlement check of $3060.29. Buyer as agreed to the settle- <br />ment to be reduced from the purchase price. Will ha e the closing when the <br />insurance check is received. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis to approve thel insurance claim settle- <br />ment for water damages and approve selling of the bu~lding. Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, w'th Leslie abstaining and <br />Abernethy absent.
