<br />v-. <br /> <br />93F-/5:b <br /> <br />.~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MAY 11, 1993 <br /> <br />The Hall County Baord of Supervisor~_met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned <br />session and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Margaret <br />Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Richard Hart- <br />man was absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of May 4th meeting were accepted as received, on motion of <br />Frauen, seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Chris Petersen with Leadership of Tomorrow informed the Board of the <br />group's County Government Day on June 10, 1993. The group of 31 <br />people will be touring the various county offices on that day. Ms <br />Petersen invited the Board to have lunch with the group that day. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz, made a deposit of $100.00 <br />from:Grard Island Area Habitat for Humanity Inc. as earnest money <br />for the sell of real property with the following legal description: <br />Lot Four (4) in Block Three (3) in Lambert's Addition to the City of <br />Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, and ask that the Chairman sign <br />the deed for that property. The Board has previously adopted a <br />resolution authorizing the sale of this property and authorized the <br />Chairman to sign this deed. He indicated that he hope to clo~e~:Qn the <br />!prOperty!this afternoon <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director, explained the County Highway <br />Department Quarterly report for January thru March 1993. Motion to <br />accept the report was made by Stelk, seconded by Abernethy. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Motion made by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to authorize the Chairman <br />to sign agreements with the State Department of Roads for projects <br />#BRS-2255 (I) Grand Island NW and project #BRS-2150(4) Cairo Southeast. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none <br />voted no. <br /> <br />Ruby Washington, National Mother of the Year, appeared before the Board <br />to thank the Board for the letter she received. from the board members. <br />Her itinerary for the coming year will be to all 50 states with speaking <br />engagements and parades. She was asked to come back at the end of her <br />years reign and let the Board know how it went. <br /> <br />Jim Eriksen, Soil Conservation, extended an invitation to the Board to <br />attend a .tour of the Platte on June 15, 1993. The Board indicated <br />interest in going if it were on another day other than Tuesday. Mr. <br />Eriksen wanted to board members to go; therefore he is willing to look <br />into changing the date and will get back to them if possible to change. <br /> <br />Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Commission, presented three final plats <br />for Davis Subdivision, Harders Subdivision and Herman's Subdivision. <br />Landis motioned, Frauen seconded to adopt all three plats. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />9:45 A.M. Richard Hartman, Board Supervisor, arrived. <br />
