She attended <br />the Grand Island Independent Open House, the Head Start evaluation meeting and <br />the Doniphan DARE graduation. <br /> <br />Quandt attended Senior Citizens Industries Meeting, Midland Area Agency on <br />Aging meeting, bookmobile committee meeting, Industrial Foundation Meeting <br />is Wednesday at noon and Ste1k will attend the meeting this month. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, Board Assistant report (1) Road Tour to:t~~1 McElroy property <br />with Howard County Board, she is to contact them and try for Tuesday, May 25, <br />1993 at 1:30 p.m. (2) need to review Regional Planning Commission budget in <br />May, (3) Need to set up joint City County meeting for joint budgets, Suggested <br />dates were May 20, May 18th or May 25th. (4) gave report she received from <br />Chuck Leach, Independent Living in regard to pushbuttons on doo+,s J5Lgaye <br />report she received from Clerk of District Court in regard tOla~QLaimL~boa~d__ <br />members had questioned (6) She is getting a list from Janu1ewDCz in regard to <br />lots owned by county that will need mowed this year (7) Weed Control Superin- <br />tendent resumes are in, have received at least 12, all board members are to <br />review the resumes in Board Assistant's office and then will interview the top <br />four selected. (8) Rod Ruple, Hall County Housing Authority report on the <br />federal money for bookmobile use. (9) Some departments have asked when budgets <br />are due, (board members determined June 1 as in past years) (10) Letter <br />received in regard to meeting to discuss regional landfill on May 10, 1993 at <br />7:00 P.M. at Ramada Inn, Kearney. <br /> <br />Board Assistant to prepare letters for signature to Grand Island Luncheon <br />BPW Club and County Treasurer for appreciation of Employer of the Year award, <br /> <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Abernethy to send letter to Mrs Ruby Washington <br />for her Mother of the Year award. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Landis had been contacted in regard to weight limits on county gravel roads, <br />the access road near the Christian School, also road in School District 3 <br />area. <br /> <br />Recessed at 11:54 a.m. for lunch to return at 1:30 p.m. for Board of Correct- <br />ions Meeting. <br /> <br />Returned to regular session at 2:31 p.m. after adjournment of Board of Correct- <br />ion meeting. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill Board Assistant reported on her contact with City Administrator <br />Zou1 in regard to joint City County meetings on budget.
